Older Works

Below is a short summary of the older art and creative works I have created.

Wall Panels

These decorative panels are inspired by lace doilies, textiles and wallpaper patterns, yet produced using industrial processes.

The panels can be used in the garden as a trellis for climbing plants, to separate outdoor areas, as screens to hide unsightly areas or to add impact to a plain fence. They can also be used as fence extensions or window screens to create privacy from the neighbours.

Panels are made to order, and can be manufactured from a range of materials, including: acrylic sheet, steel, aluminium and plywood. â€¨Prices vary depending on materials, size, design and finish. All designs can be scaled to a suitable size for your space.

You can have a panel custom-designed to suit your space, style and purpose. A further design fee is charged for commissioned pieces.

Windows, Doors and Floors

Bring glowing colour into a space with unique resin designs for doors, floors and windows.

Resin has a beautiful translucence and radiance. When used on glass in windows and doors the effect is one of a rich glow, bringing warmth to any space. Resin makes a beautiful floor surface that is warm and durable.

Colour, fillers and other media such as paper can be combined with the resin for a broad range of effects. I use high quality resin that is stable once cured and is easy to clean.

Resin Jewellery

Bold and bright or transparent and subtle, resin is a versatile medium for making jewellery. Embedding Japanese papers, fabrics and objects creates distinctive body ornament.

Trunk:leaf:flower

A tryptich in acrylic sheet, laser cut steel and fluorescent lights.

For this couple, the large plain rendered wall beside their outdoor eating area created a bland backdrop for social gatherings. Using their much loved garden as inspiration, I developed a design based on the trunk, leaf and flower forms of a native gum at the back of the garden.

This project was commissioned by Ann and Ed of Ashburton.
